Looks like an ordinary cup of juice...
Actually it is a cup of orange and lemon jello with blue and red food coloring in it. The kids were surprised when they went to drink their grape juice this morning, and Ainsley was thrilled that they left their cups of jello on the table and mom was too busy dressing, combing, and gathering homework to notice that she had gotten the jello and was squishing it through her fingers.
Ainsley was SO mad at me for taking the jello away! She couldn't have been more sticky, even if she had attacked a jar of grape jelly! WARNING: Lemon and Orange jello with blue and red food coloring is, so far, not coming out of the white shirt. Do not use this April fools trick in your home!
Hamburgers were our after school snack. Jason just called and said he was on his way home, but he was going to stop and get a hamburger because he had missed lunch. I told him I had hamburgers here... he's going to be disappointed! I thought they were cute, but Grady cried because he didn't want any 'salad' on his.
My favorite was the sack lunch I sent to school with Amelia. It looked normal from the outside, but inside there was a can of sardines, a baggie with mushrooms, a bar of unsweetened baking chocolate, and a teeny tiny banana inside. I brought her real lunch, a happy meal, about five minutes after lunch started. When I got there the whole table of kids were all huddled around the can of sardines, they said they looked like frog skin. I shared the 'candy bar' with all of the kids on the table, and some of them actually ate it! Amelia loves mushrooms, and had taken a bite of one, but they weren't washed and she said it was a little crunchy. YUCK!
I've enjoyed laughing at the reactions of the kids, but I haven't enjoyed all of the mess I've had to clean up today! I'm not sure that it's worth the work to fool, the joke may be on me!
Hope you all had a good one!
