Sydnie turns FIVE!

Happy Day to our growing little princess.... SYDNIE JANE! Sydnie wanted a 'Pink Pony Party', I think only because she saw a cake that she LOVED in the cake book. Here's Syd and Richelle, cuties
Lilli and Syd, Lilli won the pin the tail on the pony game.
We also had a piniata, and painting pretty ponies. Here's Artist Amelia.
Here is the cake that inspired it all (or at least my pathetic version of it).
Sydnie wanted to have a corndog picnic, and we all thought that was a great Idea!
Even though Sydnie doesn't eat meat she LOVES corndogs. The other day Amelia teased Sydnie and told her that hotdogs were made out of meat! Silly Amelia! We had a little trouble getting her to eat corndogs for a while, but she's back to eating those meat free delights again.
After the picnic we took a hike to the grotto. Ainsley loves hanging out with her Dad in this backpack!
Syd crossing one of the many log bridges.
Jason making fun of her.
Happy Birthday Sydnie!
WE LOVE YOU!

Swim fishy swim

We survived another year of swimming lessons! In years past there was always much fighting about getting into the water, dunking heads under, plugging noses, and listening to teachers instead of waving at mom. This year the girls were finally used to the routine and Grady seemed to be a natural (like every other sport he tries).A few times I stopped to think, Did I sign Syd up for pole dancing lessons? She spent at least half of her swimming lesson time wrapped around this pole.

Amelia finished her second year of level 2, this year she did GREAT!
In level Pre1, they learn... nothing. Here is Grady hopping like a frog.
On the last day Sydnie & Amelias classes played "Alligator, Alligator what time is it?" together. Here is Grady, learning to sit on the bubbles... he is a natural!

Ainsley and I sat poolside, getting a little bit of a tan and waving at Sydnie. The only time she had any fun was on the last day when Dad came along to watch. This is Ainsley at her flying lessons with Dad.
They all passed! See ya at the pool next year! (We only go to Payson pool for swimming lessons, you could go to seven peaks for close to the same price!)

You're going to the ZOO ZOO ZOO, can we come TOO TOO TOO?

We took our annual trip to the Hogel zoo last week, but this year with our growing family we decided to become members and get a year pass. If we go just one more time in the next year it will pay for itself, plus we might want to go back and see that baby elephant next month! So, if you're headed up there let us know, we'd like to come too! AND we can bring a guest in FREE with our new pass so it might be worth it for you to invite us along! Amelia, Kylee & Sydnie

Amelia turns SEVEN!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my biggest helper Amelia Elizabeth. Yesterday she had a wonderful birthday, I wish that I had the pictures to prove it! I got a new camera that I haven't taken the time to figure it out and the pictures really... suck. Sorry Milly.
Amelia had a bug party! Amelia is a real party planner so this was all her doing, she made the cutest invitations with glitter leaves and bugs. She made a spider web on the deck for the kids to find their goody bags, they played cocoon and wrapped kids up in toiletpaper, made bug magnets and pom pom worms and ate mud cups with smashed oreos, chocolate pudding and gummy worms, YUMMY!
At our house the birthday kid gets to plan the whole day, so after Amelias birthday party we went to Carls Jr for lunch and to the dinosaur museum for a little entertainment.

Amelia wanted her Grandparents and Auntie Brookie over for dinner last night. She planned the menu-- corn on the cob, watermellon, cheetoes and KFC chicken. We finished off her day with the bug cake she decorated and her favorite ice cream, then she was off to sleepover with Grandma Dudley.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMELIA!
We love you so much!

Can you be arrested for post stealing?

Today it is one month since I posted. I suck. I really have a lot to post about, but no time to do it right, therefor no motivation to do it. So, I'm going to guide you to my Lil' Sisters post on our Spring Break trip. We all went together, so you can see what we've been up to. The only difference is that we just had to skip out on the Calf Creek Falls hike due to Ainsley having a fever. Thanks Sara!

April fools!

Looks like an ordinary cup of juice...Actually it is a cup of orange and lemon jello with blue and red food coloring in it. The kids were surprised when they went to drink their grape juice this morning, and Ainsley was thrilled that they left their cups of jello on the table and mom was too busy dressing, combing, and gathering homework to notice that she had gotten the jello and was squishing it through her fingers. Ainsley was SO mad at me for taking the jello away! She couldn't have been more sticky, even if she had attacked a jar of grape jelly! WARNING: Lemon and Orange jello with blue and red food coloring is, so far, not coming out of the white shirt. Do not use this April fools trick in your home! Hamburgers were our after school snack. Jason just called and said he was on his way home, but he was going to stop and get a hamburger because he had missed lunch. I told him I had hamburgers here... he's going to be disappointed! I thought they were cute, but Grady cried because he didn't want any 'salad' on his.

My favorite was the sack lunch I sent to school with Amelia. It looked normal from the outside, but inside there was a can of sardines, a baggie with mushrooms, a bar of unsweetened baking chocolate, and a teeny tiny banana inside. I brought her real lunch, a happy meal, about five minutes after lunch started. When I got there the whole table of kids were all huddled around the can of sardines, they said they looked like frog skin. I shared the 'candy bar' with all of the kids on the table, and some of them actually ate it! Amelia loves mushrooms, and had taken a bite of one, but they weren't washed and she said it was a little crunchy. YUCK!

I've enjoyed laughing at the reactions of the kids, but I haven't enjoyed all of the mess I've had to clean up today! I'm not sure that it's worth the work to fool, the joke may be on me!

Hope you all had a good one!
